UPFA will save country from destruction - Weerawansa

Attanagalla special correspondent

JVP's propaganda secretary Wimal Weerawansa appealed the people to use their votes for victory of the Freedom Alliance to create a country where all communities can live as one happy and respectable family.

He was addressing the UPFA's final propaganda rally at the Nittambuwa public grounds on Tuesday (30).

All the UPFA candidates in the Gampaha district participated in this rally.

Western Provincial Councillor Ranjith Ananda Rupasingha chaired the meeting. Weerawansa further said the UPFA has been formed after a long discussion to safeguard the country from distraction.

UNF government of Ranil Wickremesinghe is selling the country's assets for a song.

UPFA is committed to keep our national assets to ourselves. We have a clear way to go and a comprehensive plan to make the country prosperous-therefore everyone should support the Freedom Alliance to achieve those ends.

UPFA's Gampaha district candidate and senior Presidential Advisor, Anura Bandaranaike said the UNF government has done nothing for the poor masses during the last two years. Masses will give their verdict on April 2.

The Freedom Alliance Government that will come into power after April 2 will honour all promises given to the people.
