by Prasad Purnamal Jayamanne Former UNP Parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara wanted by Puttalam Police in connection with causing injury to three persons after storming into a Freedom Alliance meeting at Pallama Serukele in Anamaduwa surrendered to the Puttalam Police on Saturday. The MP and eight others were produced before the Puttalam Acting Magistrate Abdul Cader and released on cash bail Rs. 25,000 each. The injured have been admitted to the Anamaduwa Hospital. The incident occurred after a UNP meeting which was scheduled for the same day in close proximity of the Freedom Alliance Rally was ordered to be cancelled by Police fearing clashes. |
