In an endeavour to infuse new racing blood to the depleted motor racing, Anuradhapura Motor Sports Club in collaboration with Motor Racing Association and Ruhunu Motor Sports Club has struck the appropriate chord by organizing the novice motor racing festival 2003 to be held at Pannala on Sunday the 14th December. Primarily for novice drivers few selected regular events will be run to allow the opportunity for the novices and the spectators to compare some recognized competitive driving.

This will create an opportunity for novice drivers to enter their teeth in competitive racing to participate in fully-fledged race meets in the future.

This also would be an opportunity for racing enthusiasts to bring their families along, since the organizers of the meet have made arrangements to create a festival atmosphere providing food & beverage stalls, DJ music, children play areas and other recreations which will take place from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday the 14th December 2003. The entries for all participants are available at Colombo Pro carts and will close today at 6 pm. With provisions for late entr,es, this is permitted till the noon of 12th December 2003 but at an additional late entry fee.
