World Heritage site of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Sigiriya provide the ambience suitable for artistic creativity. Norad, the Norwegian Funding Agency main sponsor and John Keells Group and SriLankan Airlines are co-sponsors of the camp.

The camp is managed by two joint co-ordinators, Arun Dias Bandaranaike and Manilal Weerakoon. Prof. S.B. Dissanayake, a Trustee of the Foundation will also participate. Following the camp, an exhibition will be held at the Harold Peiris Gallery in Colombo from October 25 to 28. The artists' work will be on sale.

Former Under-Secretary General for Disarmament Affairs, United Nations, Jayantha Danapala said the George Keyt Foundation is providing opportunites for artists to exhibit their work. The artists are also assisted to hold exhibitions and discover and develop their artistic abilities. The Kala Pola organised by the foundation has given a lot of opportunities, for artists.
