Of movies and Magical Moments... The evening of July 19 saw a fair gathering at the newly constructed HNB auditorium to watch the ghost of the Enron saga haunt viewers on screen. The film "The crooked-E" - The Unshredded Truth About Enron was a private screening by Multivision (Pvt) Ltd in association with Hallmark Entertainment Network to its largely corporate clientele. The auditorium came alive with excitement as the invitees settled to watch the movie that saw the hero follow the path of his dreams at the place he cherished for years - Enron. The movie is based on the book authored by Enron employee Brian Cruvers; "An Anatomy of Greed" and has Christian Kane playing Cruver; the bright 26-year-old whose blind pursuit of the American dream sends him spiralling deep into surreal corporate nightmare. The story revolves round the hero and his ravishing fiancee by his side, life is beautiful for him both on the personal and the professional front until!... Seeing his obsession with money and power, the love of his life ditches him. Meanwhile, the company shares too crash till it is forced to close down. However, the film ends on a happy note. Chairman of Multivision Nihal Hettiarachchi, Rienzie Wijetilleke Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hatton National Bank, Sohli Captain, Chairman Proportex Group of Companies, Amitahb Srivastava, General Manager Hallmark - India and others were present. |
