Thamilselvam reported to have ordered removal of Kinniya LTTE camp

A Rupavahini news bulletin last night reported that LTTE political chief S.P Thamilselvam is reported to have ordered the removal within 72 hours of the controversial LTTE camp set up in the Government controlled area in Kinniya.

Thamilselvam, the Rupavahini said quoting its Trincomalee correspondent, had ordered LTTE area commanders to remove the camp within 72 hours.

However, both the Sri Lankan Monitoring Mission and the LTTE's Trincomalee branch said they have no knowledge of such an order by Thamilselvam.

"We are not informed, nor do we have any knowledge about such a decision by the LTTE," SLMM spokeswoman Agnes Bragadottier told the Daily News last night.

LTTE Trincomalee political chief Tilak said he has not yet been informed of such a decision by Thamilselvam who is now on a week long visit to the East.
