SLARDAR 1000 from June 27 to 29 The Annual prestiges rally in Sri Lanka, local parries Dhaka "SLARDAR 1000 will be worked out on 27, 28, and 29 June 2003 for the 7th time in the country. This Rally is considered as a standard for Rallying the country and will pass through many rural and urban towns and villages on its 1000 Km route. It will be running through some of the most beautiful and scenic locations of the country covering varying driving conditions, requiring great driving skill and ability. The Rally is limited to vehicles 2500cc (petrol) 4500cc (diesel) and 750cc motor cycles, thus providing an opportunity for those novice and interested in Rallying and equal opportunity to show their capabilities and offering equal opportunity for success. The route has been planned to suit the above powered vehicles and will no doubt, be of public interest. Some well prepared rally vehicles are schedule to take part and the public could see some of the best competitors in action. The Rally will commence from Colombo on the evening of 27 June After a run of a challenging 1000Km the cars will return to the same venue on the 29th evening. Entry forms for the event are available from the 2nd to 13th June at the Club office at 128, Park and Shop building. High Level Road, Nugegoda. Entries will be closed on 16th June at 5.00 p.m. |
