Commercial Bank's Ekala Service Point gets full branch status The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently upgraded its Customer Service Point (CSP) at Ekala to full branch status, providing the fast developing industrial suburb with a wider range of facilities and services. The upgrade was in response to requests by customers for a full-fledged branch, the bank said. Commercial Bank Deputy General Manager - Corporate Banking Harris Premaratne told the ceremonial launch that residents and business establishments especially in the industrial zone would now be able to open Current Accounts, obtain credit facilities, open Letters of Credit for imports and conduct any export related transactions at the Ekala branch. Premaratne said customers will continue to enjoy the full benefits of the Commercial bank's islandwide computer-linked network of 109 branches, Customer Service Points and 'MiniCom' Supermarket outlets as well as nearly 150 ATMs. The Commercial Bank was rated the 'Best Bank in Sri Lanka" for the fifth consecutive year in 2003 by "Global Finance" magazine and Sri Lanka's "Bank of the Year - 2002" by "The Banker" magazine. |
