Seminar on Vehicular Emission Standards The National Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka will hold a seminar on 'Introduction of Vehicular Emission Standards' on May 12 from 8.30am to 1pm at the Trans Asia Hotel, Colombo. Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Rukman Senanayake will be the chief guest, K. K. Gandhi of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) will make a presentation at the seminar. The objective of the seminar is to educate the participants on emission regulations in India, the future road map, in use vehicle emission management, integrated approach to pollution control, fuel standards and the Indian experience on the use of alternative fuels. The senior representative from the Transport Ministry, Environmental and Natural Resources Ministry, Power and Energy Ministry, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and AIRMC will participate in the seminar. |
