TTSC's Bowling C'ships from today Thirty nine teams from 16 member firms will participate in the 2nd Travel Trade Sports Club bowling championships 2003 to be held at the Y2K Bowling Centre on March 29 and April 02. The preliminary round will be held on March 29 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and the elimination round on April 02 from 5.00 p.m. onwards, followed by the awards presentation. The tournament the forest event in the sports calendar of the TTSC is sponsored and hosted by the Y2K Bowing Centre at Millennium Park, Col. 10. Dinesh de Silva, Manager, Y2K Bowling Centre was happy to note the increase in participating teams comparing with the previous tournament. Hiran Serasinghe, CEO, Y2K Bawling Centre officially handed over the sponsorship to the President of the TTSC, Devendre Senaratne at a ceremony held at the Bowling Centre last Monday. The participating firms (No. of teams in brackets): World Air (Depending champions) (3), Walkers Tours (3) Aitken Spence Travels, (3) Confifi Management Services (1), Confifi Beach Hotel (2), Club Palm Garden (3), Riverina Hotel (2), Eden Resort & Spa (1), Jet Wing Travels (3), Emirates Airlines (3), Hemas Travels (3), Taj Airport Garden Hotel (1), United Holidays (3), SriLankan Airlines (3), Hemas Air Services (3) and Aset. Airways (3). At the completion of the preliminary round, the top scoring 24 teams will qualify to 'bowl' on April 02. |
