Aussie batsman Martyn heads for hospital PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa, March 17 (Reuters) - Australia batsman Damien Martyn went to hospital on Monday on the eve of the World Cup semi-final against Sri Lanka for an X-ray on a finger injury. Martyn's right index finger was taped up. He hurt it while fielding in the five-wicket win against Kenya on Saturday in Durban, a team spokesman said. Martyn, who bats at four, was dropped down the order against Kenya although the spokesman said he would have gone in if Australia had lost a sixth wicket. |
