Nearly 30 teams battle for Women's Soccer Sevens title

The women's seven-a-side championships organised by Sri Lanka Football Federation's development section is scheduled for March 15 (Saturday) at Police Park. Already a total of 24 entries have been forwarded to the Federation from all parts of the country.

Entries will be accepted till March 10. All entries should be addressed to Secretary, Women's Soccer Development Section, FFSL, Reid Avenue, Colombo 7.

The tournament will be conducted on a round robin basis in the first stage. The top teams qualify for the championship, while the other teams play for the "Plate" and "Bowl".

The teams that have already entered the fray are Anuradhapura SC, Army 'A' and 'B', Kurunegala, Majestic SC Ratnapura, Police 'A' and 'B', St. Andrew's 'A' and 'B', Nawalapitiya, Millennium Youth, Wennappuwa, 'A' and 'B', St. Anne's SC, Wennappuwa, Badulla SC, Kegalle SC, Nationalised SC, Medagama SC, Bibila, Kalutara SC, Gnanodaya MV, Kalutara, Don Bosco College, Hanwella, Negombo Youth SC and Lakdas MV, Kurunegala, Old and present Girls teams.
