Lotteries Board cycle tour tomorrow The Development Lotteries Board's 20th year celebrations cycling tour will be worked off on Saturday from Dambulla, Balangoda and Matara respectively. This event is conducted and organised by the National Mountain Biking Association in collaboration with the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) and the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC). The event from Dambulla will be for racing cyclists and the distance will be 200 kilo metres. The other two events will be a standard race with a distance of 148 kilo metres from Balangoda and the race from Matara covering a distance of 169 kilo metres. All three races will be concluded at the Parliament grounds, Sri Jayawardenapura. The winner in the racing class event will receive a cash award of Rs. 50,000 and a challenge trophy. The runner up will be presented a cash award of Rs. 25, 000 and the third placed cyclist will receive a cash award of Rs. 10,000. The two winners in the standard class race will receive a cash award of Rs. 20, 000 each. The runners up will receive Rs. 15, 000 each and the third place will receive Rs. 10, 000 each. (C.D). |
