Thondaman reiterates opposition to Upper Kotmale

Housing and Plantation Infrastructure Minister Arumugan Thondaman in a media release yesterday emphatically stated that the Ceylon Workers Congress led by him condemns Power and Energy Minister Karu Jayasuriya's statement that construction work on the Upper Kotmale Hydro Power Project will commence.

Minister Thondaman's stance that this unsuccessful project, which brings ill-effects on a section of the masses should not be implemented remains unchanged, stated the release.
