Container with Pajeros

Customs officials have detected a container which had two Pajeros in it and which was imported to the country by passing custom scrutiny.

Sources said the two Pajeroes were hidden in a container which the importer had declared as containing used motor spare parts. " The value of the two vehicles amount to Rs five million." sources added.

Initial investigations have revealed that the importer was from Kurunegala.

Further investigations are being conducted under the guidance of the Custom's Chief Preventive Officer A. Welikala.
