Kandappah re-appointed HDFC chairman A. Kandappah has been re-appointed Chairman of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) by Minister Arumugam Thondaman. The Minister, who chairs regular monthly meetings to monitor performance of bodies under his Ministry said last week that all Corporations under him will be reconstituted on a performance-related basis. HDFC recorded a profit of Rs. 125 million for the period ending 31.12.2001. During the tenure of Kandappah the profit increased to Rs. 140 million for the period ending 31.12.2002, a press release issued by HDFC said. |
