by Florence Wickramage Phase twenty of the National Jak Development Project (NJDP) of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited gets under way on Sunday, January 19, at Sabaragamuwa University premises. The ceremony to plant 100 jak saplings on this day has been organised by the Management Students Centre of the Unviersity. The NJDP is a Silumina Janasetha programme and is sponsored by the Sevana Lottery. The Founder President of the NJDP and Director Editorial and Marketing Bandula Padmakumara, Secretary NJDP and Chief Administrative Officer of ANCL Sarath Amarakoon, Silumina Chief Editor Tilakaratne Kuruwita Bandara, Coordinator Nihal P. Abeysinghe, undergraduates and staff of the University will be present. |
