S. Nadesan, President of the United Estate Workers' Union affiliated to the Sri Lanka Communist Party passed away at the age of 83.His remains now lie at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour, Borella, for public respect.

The late S. Nadesan who gave up his studies in a medical faculty in England returned to Sri Lanka to turn a veteran trade unionist in the Estate Sector under the Sri Lanka Communist Party.At the time of his death he was a member of the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee of his party.

His funeral takes place today at the General Cemetery, Borella, at 4.30 pm.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party Sri Lanka in a press release condoled his death.
