Sources close to the Government indicated that it was decided at a high level that Government Ministers should stay clear from involvement in sports administration. Politicians have come in for much criticism in recent times for meddling in the affairs of the country's sports. The Government decision comes despite the court ruling last week which struck off regulations preventing politicians contesting for office in sports organisations. |
