Southern entrepreneurs tour India by Charlie Herat Southern Region Development Minister Ananda Kularatne together with 15 entrepreneurs from the South visited Aerate Anurans in India to study the latest technologies and machinery and the coconut and coir industry. The delegation visited several cities in India namely Chennai, Coimbatore, Cochin, Pollachi, Mysore and Bangalore. During the visit the delegation was received by the Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries Association (CODISSIA) and had a meeting with its membership. As a result of the visit a members of COSISSIA will visit Sri Lanka in February to explore the potential of set up joint ventures and investment. It has also proposed to conduct an Exhibition and Trade Fair in Colombo only for CODISSIA members. The Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) of the North Western Province organised the four on behalf of the Southern Region Development Ministry with the assistance of the assistant Indian High Commissioner in Kandy. |
