Lanka lose exhibition match also SYDNEY, Tuesday (AFP) - Sri Lanka were further humiliated when they lost an exhibition match of 25 overs a side to Australia 'A' by 25 runs, after they had been beaten by ten wickets in the official fixture. The match arranged to give spectators value for their money saw Sri Lanka scoring 146 for eight wickets after Australia A made 171 all out to lose by 25 runs. It was a dreadful exhibition by Sri Lanka, exposing their batsmen's inability to cope with bouncy Australian pitches and providing little hope the side will improve on their winless record in the tri-series contest against Australia and England, when it resumes Thursday in Sydney. |
