The Halwitigala tea factory on the foot hills of the Singha Raja forest in Hinidum Pattu, a factory managed by the Tea Smallholder Factories Limited will manufacture main grade tea in keeping with high hygenic quality standards. During the last few years the factory has shown vast progress producing main grade tea such as excellent BOPF special, FBOPF, FBOPFEXS, FBOPI, BOPI and OPI. The Halwitigala factory down south attracts a large number of foreign buyers mainly because of its quality and the standards maintained throughout the season.
