Police-public day programmes

Several people oriented projects and programmes have been launched in several police divisions of Kegalle district in view of the Police-public rapport day. On the instructions and advice of Kegalle district ASP Nalaka de Silva, public friendly and beneficiary activities have commenced in Warakapola, Pindeniya and Aranayake police divisions.

On the instructions of ASP Nalaka de Silva, a programme was launched to cleanse and restore all buildings and premises of Aranayake district hospital and all activities in this regard was initiated by the OIC Aranayake police, IP Jagath Abeykoon with the co-operation of the public. The public in the Warakapola police division, led by OIC Warakapola police Jayantha Nanayakkara, have repaired a road leading to Wadagala a remote village, in the Warakapola area, and arrangements have been made to ply a bus along this road.

In the Pindeniya police division in the Kegalle district, a programme was launched to conduct a free medical camp on behalf of the poor residents of the village in Pindeniya police area and many persons patronised this medical camp. This free medical camp was organized and initiated with the public support and cooperation of the OIC Pindeniya police station Kapila Wijemanne.
