The national selectors have named a national squad of 20 players to begin training in preparation for the ECB Academy team's tour of Sri Lanka in February-March and for the quadrangular tournament conducted by the BCCSL in April next year.

The squad will be an ongoing one and will be handled by the various BCCSL coaches.

The Development squad: Tharanga Laksitha, Sujeewa Silva, Thilina Thushara, Michael VanDort, Ian Daniel, Jeevan Mendis, Charitha Sylvester, Kaushal Lokuarachchi, D. Lokuhettige, Dinusha Fernando, Dilruwan Perera, Malin Silva, Amila Perera, T. Kandamby, Sahan Wijeratne (Prince of Wales), Umesh Wijesiriwardena, N. C. Komasaru, D. Ranatunga, Gihan de Silva (St. Peter's College), Kaushal Silva (St. Thomas College).
