PM begins Japan visit

Commencing a four-day official tour in Japan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his delegation arrived in Tokyo yesterday. At the Imperial Hotel where the delegation would stay during the tour, seven Sri Lankan Buddhist priests including priests from Lankaji Temple of Sawara chanted seth pirith and blessed the Prime Minister and the others.

SLMC crisis, a conspiracy to destabilise the government - Rauff Hakeem

The present crisis within the SLMC has several dimensions. This is also a conspiracy to destabilise the UNF Government and thereby upset the ongoing peace process. "The SLMC leadership under my stewardship will never allow that to happen, said minister Rauff Hakeem yesterday.
