Spirits high between Ashes brothers-in-law ADELAIDE, Australia, Tuesday (AFP) - Allrounder Craig White is making the most of his small victory over Australia as England lick their Ashes series wounds. White has the bragging rights over his two dismissals of brother-in-law and Australian batsman Darren Lehmann in the series. The Yorkshire medium-pacer got Lehmann out for 42 in Australia's first innings in the third Perth Test and dismissed him before his sister Andrea at the second Adelaide Test the previous weekend. Lehmann said on Tuesday he had received some good-natured ribbing from White since last Sunday. "He's a bugger, isn't he? It's just the way it's going, he's bowling quite well actually," Lehmann said here. "Gilly (Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist) and I were having dinner with him last night and he's got Gilly out as well - it's just one of those things that happens in cricket. "We have a bit of fun about it." Lehmann, recalled to the team for the current Ashes series at the expense of Mark Waugh after an absence of almost four years, has made scores of 30, five and 42 in the first three Tests. Although the all-time leading run-scorer in domestic cricket, Lehmann said he felt he was now finding his feet in the champion Australian Test side. "I was really happy with the way I played in Perth, I felt a lot better, in a lot better nick," Lehmann said. |
