Srimath presents Gee Srimath as birthday debut

Well-known journalist veteran TV and Radio presenter Srimath Indrajith Liyanage will prove his versatility when he makes his debut as a vocalist at a musical show titled Gee Sirimath he presents at the Elphinstone Theatre, Maradana on Wednesday December 11 at 6 pm. The event will be of duel significance as Srimath Indrajith will launch his own book of lyrics and poems titled Peeli Panina Nahara Wel at the same time to coincide with the musical show.

Srimath says that a stream of popular vocalists will add colour to the show with their own performances backed by Ajith Vithanage's Sakura band. The line-up will include Visharada Gunadasa Kapuge, Karunaratne Divulgane, Visharada Edward Jayakody, Nirosha Virajini, Kamal Addaraarachchi, youthful duo Bhathiya-Santhush, Chandana Liyanarachchi, Indrani Perera, Jagath Wickremasinghe, Asanga Priyamantha Pieris, Ranil Mallawarachchi and Sashika Nisansala. Dance items will also be presented by Kulasiri Budawatta, Rajini Selvanayagam, Channa Wijewardene and Chandana Wickramasinghe dance institutes.

Chief guests on the occasion will be Ministers, Dr. Karunasena Kodituwakku and W J M Lokubandara. Award-winning lyricist Ajantha Ranasinghe commenting on the book Peeli Panina Nahara Wel said the ideas and thoughts that contain in his songs and poems were clear testimony to Srimath Indrajith Liyanage's creativity and versatility. The publisher of the book is Deepani Publishers owned by Asoka Bataduwaarachchi.The entire show is open to his multitude of fans, free of charge says Srimath Indrajith. This occasion also happens to be his birthday.
