It is best to use for such a thing than letting them idle." The duty of the Maha Sangha is not only preaching of Dhamma or meditation but also helping the poor and the helpless in their basic needs. This prompted me to launch this program, Venerable Maha Wilachchiye Wimala thera Chief Prelate of Sama Viharaya and the patron of the Foundation said. Venerable thera requested philanthropists to donate clothes, shoes, books and finances for these poor children as they cannot even afford bus-fares to Anuradhapura.
