'Peace in Sri Lanka' website intended to disseminate information on the peace process was launched yesterday at a simple ceremony. 'Peace in Sri Lanka', the official website of the Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace Process will inform the international community, foreign media and the Sri Lankan diaspora on the latest developments in the Sri Lankan peace process. Chief guest Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe hoped that dissemination of information would bolster the peace process. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Norwegian Government for its efforts to bring peace to Sri Lanka. Commenting on the crowd at the "peace and democracy" demonstration, the Prime Minister said people have expressed their commitment for peace. The website (www.peaceinsrilanka.org) will provide information such as features, background information and latest developments. |
