The project which comes under the purview of the BCCSL's National Development Committee (NDC) was built at a cost of Rs. 10 million for pitches and Rs. 17 million for the dormitory. "The complex is intended for the use of national squads of all age groups and for special coaching clinics conducted by the BCCSL," said NDC chairman Duleep Mendis. He said the dormitory was equipped with 40 beds and the BCCSL was responsible for the maintenance of the pitches as well as the dormitory in conjunction with the Sugathadasa Stadium authorities. Mendis said the BCCSL has two trainees and five labourers permanently attached to the complex at R. Premadasa Stadium to look after the maintenance work. The pitches are in the care of the BCCSL's director of pitches Anuruddha Polonowita. The BCCSL's chief executive Anura Tennekoon, cricket operations director Bandula Warnapura, marketing director Jayantha Kudahetty along with other officials of the R.
