Classes for aspiring boxing referees

The Boxing Referees and Judges Association hopes to conduct classes for aspiring Boxing Referees and Judges in the near future. Since female boxing has commenced the BRJA hopes to recruit a few female officials too.

The course will be conducted on Sunday mornings in English medium. It will consist of theory and practicals.

The classes will be conducted by the President, H. S. Embuldeniya and Vice President, Donald Munasinghe. At the end of the course a qualifying examination will be conducted. Those who wish to follow this course should be over 34 years and below 50 years, should be physically fit and have a good vision. In the case of males they should provide proof of participation at boxing meets.

Applications containing name, date of birth, address, sex, record of participating boxing meets or other sports should be sent to Donald Munasinghe, Vice President, BRJA, No. 459, Thimbirigasyaya Road, Colombo 5 before September 19.
