Japanese envoy meets Thamilchelvam Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Seiichiro Otsuka on Monday met LTTE Political Wing Leader Thamilchelvam in Kilinochchi. The discussions focused on the peace process and the reconstruction of the war ravaged North and East, sources said. Thamilchelvam requested the Ambassador to demand the Sri Lankan Government to ensure full implementation of the Ceasefire Agreement, sources said adding that the Ambassador expressed Japan's full support for the peace process. The talks which lasted for two hours were described as "cordial and productive". |
