Blessing of the Sick at Tewatte

The annual Feast of the Blessing of the Sick will be held this year at the National Basilica of Our Lady of Lanka at Tewatte Ragama on Sunday August 25. In preparation for the Feast, Novenas and Masses will be held on Thursday the 22nd to Saturday the 24th at 6.30 p.m. each day.

On Sunday the 25th August masses in the morning will be at 5.00. 6.00, 7.00, 8.00, 9.00 10.00 11.00 and the last mass will be at 5.00 p.m.

The main services will start at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday August 25. The Chief Celebrant will be His Grace the Archbishop of Colombo Rt. Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis.

Special passes for the sick and vehicles are issued. Contact your respective Parishes or the Administrator of the Basilica for more information. Refrain from bringing liquor or musical instruments or sport items. They are banned. I appeal to all the devotees, to help the administrator to maintain the sacredness of the Basilica and its premises.
