The Export Development Board will conduct a seminar on the effects of Value Added Tax on the export sector on August 14 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the Auditorium of the DHPL Building.

The seminar will discuss the effects of VAT on the export sector and problems that will be encountered by direct and indirect exporters with the aim of finding solutions. The main areas that will be covered are the Principles and Effects of VAT on the export sector and the differed payment facility offered in respect of the VAT.

P. Guruge Advisor to the Department of Fiscal Policy and Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and P.D.K. Fernando Director (Bonds), Department of Customs will be the resource persons at the seminar.
