Wildlife hotline

The Director of Wildlife Conservation Dayananda Kariyawasam requests the public to support the department to control illegal actions committed in contravention of the provisions of the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance. Such actions include illegal poaching, timber felling, possession and sale of game meat, rearing birds and animals protected under the ordinance and piracy of plant species etc.

To enable easy access to the Department, a hotline has been made available - Telephone Number 669783 - from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.

Mr. Kariyawasam said that all information given by the public would be treated in strict confidence.
