LBD Lintas changed its corporate name to Lowe Worldwide from April. The agency already has a formidable portfolio of blue chip business and the cream of creative talent.

It's the former Lintas Ad Agency Group in Sri Lanka which re-incarnated recently, in keeping with the worldwide change of name, a spokesman for the company said.

Sir Frank Lowe and Jerry Judge, world famous Ad men who head the international operation at its headquarters in New York and London and earlier this year that it will lay to rest with pride the highly distinguished name of Lintas and be known forthwith as Lowe Worldwide.

"So LDB Lintas keeps in line with its 160 sister offices in 80 countries and changes the name of its two operations to Lowe LDB and Lowe and Partners, Sri Lanka," he said.

Lilamani Dias Benson, the founder and Co-Chairman of the Sri Lankan company said: "We decided that the Agency's ninth anniversary which falls in early April was a good moment to announce the change locally. The Agency is at an all-time high with a prestigious portfolio of business. A fine record of having nurtured many brands to powerful market leader stature. We have also won local Ad Awards for the second consecutive year. In fact this year's 32 Awards was an unprecedented record".
