Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has had a car named after him. The world's number one batsman said he was "honoured" after agreeing a deal with Fiat.

Fans are expected to snap up the limited edition Palio Sachins, which are available for around 600,000 rupees (sterling pound 8,500).

It is very unusual for a living person to have a vehicle named after them, but it's a trend that might catch on.

In years to come, everyone could be driving around in a car dedicated to their favourite cricketer.

Easily recognisable by its distinctive round shape.

The Volvo Close:

Thoroughly reliable, if a tad unglamorous. Suited to all conditions and will take whatever punishment is dished out to it.

Doesn't come cheap, but you'll only ever need to buy one - guaranteed.

The Rolls Royce Gower:

If it's elegance you want, look no further than this prince among cars.

Effortless acceleration, with ultra-smooth action, this has class stamped right the way through it.
