Anuruddha admitted to hospital

Former Deputy Defence Minister General Anuruddha Ratwatte who was transferred to the Bogambara remand prison was admitted to the Kandy general hospital last afternoon.

He was admitted to the hospital on the recommendation of the Prison doctors due to a sudden illness, sources said.

Security at Kandy General Hospital has been intensified following his admission to the hospital, sources added.
