Aussies beat Sri Lanka

Australia beat Sri Lanka in the second Indoor Cricket Test to tie the series 1-all after two Test in the three Test series at the Indoor Cricket Complex in Talawatugoda.

Sri Lanka batting first made 43 runs in 16 overs and Australia were 35 in 9.2 overs when thunder struck the main generator.

The game had to be put-off for Friday morning and when play commenced the World Champions paced to victory scoring 73 in 16 overs.

Sri Lanka 43 in 16 overs (Asela Pathirana 18, Sanjeeva Weerasinghe 14, Chrishantha Pieris 11, Ross Gregory 4 for 8, Aaron Mills 3 for 1, Bill Floros 4 for 1, Troy Gueski 4 for 1).

Australia 73 in 16 overs (Aaron Mills 17, Adam Hall 16, Bill Floros 15, Scott Johnson 14, Roshan Weerasinghe 2 for 3, Chrisantha Pieris 2 for 3).

Aaron Mills was adjudged the Man of the Match for his best batting and bowling performance.

The final Test match between Australia will be played today at 3.30 p.m. at the Austasia Sports Complex in Thalawathugoda.
