Cinema review workshop

The National Film Corporation's Cinema Education Project has organised a cinema review workshop in the Anuradhapura district under the Human Resources Development, Education and Cultural Affairs Ministry's 100 Days Program, a Cultural Affairs Ministry spokesman said.

He said that the main intention of conducting this workshop is upgrading the people's perception towards cinema. Selected members from Cinema societies will be given training on script writing, art direction, make-up, editing, direction, acting and all creative subjects related to the cinema industry.

Eight workshops will be conducted in the Anuradhapura, Tambuttegama, Kebithigollewa, Kekirawa and Galenbindunuwewa educational zones in the Anuradhapura district. Rajarata University will be the coordinating centre of these workshops.

A workshop on script writing will be held on January 26 and 27 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Education Development Centre, Jayanthi Mawatha, Anuradhapura. Dr.Sunil Siriwardena and Dr.Ariyarathne Athugala will deliver lectures.

Anuradhapura district secretary M.R.B.Wanninayake, directors of the educational zones and the officials of the NFC will be present at the inauguration.
