by Vavuniya North group correspondent The Government has released Rs 3 million for the provision of dry rations to displaced persons living in welfare centres in Vavuniya immediately following representations made by Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Refugees Minister Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena. It is alleged that inmates of these centres had not received their rations property for the last three months. A spokesman for the Vavuniya GA office said arrangements have been made to distribute this rations through co-operative societies within this week. |
