by Wasantha Ramanayake A defamation case against Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. filed by Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs will be called for a possible settlement on February 20. Plaintiff Minister Karunanayake has filed the case before the District Court of Colombo alleging that a news item published in the Daily News dated December 25, 1998 was defamatory of him. The case was put off for February 20. |
