Lowe Lintas wins Gold, Silver Lowe Lintas won gold and silver at the Sumathi Tele Awards ceremony for two outstanding TV commercials 'Polo' and 'EGB' recently. Lintas also recently entered a fun competition conducted by Yes FM where all the Ad Agencies were asked to record and submit a Christmas carol. Lintas' contribution, a spoof on 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' won the first prize. The lyrics of the Lintas version of the Twelve Days of Christmas were specially written for the occasion and it was sung by in-house voices. The 16-member team that won will soon be enjoying their first prize, a weekend at a resort hotel. Wrap Factory wins Gold The Nestle Polo Commercial produced by the Wrap Factory for LDB Lintas won the Gold award for the best TV commercial for the year at the Sumathi Tele Awards held recently. Polo was directed and produced by Wrap Factory's Chief Creative Director, Steve de la Zilva. The two merit awards presented for Leo Brunett's 'Sri Lanka First' campaign and Grant McCann's Castrol Commercial too were produced by the Wrap Factory under the direction of Steve de la Zilva. The Wrap Factory within four years has won 12 Gold Awards at the Annual SLIM (Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing) Ad Awards, three Gold awards at the Sumathi Tele Awards and three International Awards - Asian Advertising Effectiveness Awards '97 for Lipton Leojee; a Silver for the SR toothpaste commercial at the Unilever - JWT Regional Account Directors' Conference and a merit award at DDB Needham's Pinnacle Awards in New York for the campaign Vote No to Election Violence produced for the Centre for monitoring Election Violence. |
