Nihal will donate his salary

Kalutara District PA Candidate Nihal Wijeratne said that he is willing to donate his salary all his perks for the welfare of the people of Kalutara if he is elected as MP.

He was addressing a meeting in Bulathsinghala. He further said, he will make his utmost for the development of education and also to help poor students.

"The sovereignty of the people of Bulathsinghala shall not be betrayed for rupees and cents, and I shall not have misunderstandings because of the preferential voting system.

On the other hand I will always strengthen the people's movement."

"If I am elected I promise to donate my salary and perks as an MP for the welfare of the people. We must encourage and help in the furtherance of education of poor students.

We must start industries connected to tea and rubber in this Korale and find solutions to the pressing problems of the youth, he said.

We must change the ill mannered political environment and march towards a new ethical environment, Wijeratne further stated. Provincial Councillors Susira Siriwardane, Thusitha Kularatne, Yasawathie Wadduwage also spoke.

At this meeting the Working Committee was also appointed. Bulathsinghala Provincial Council Chairman Nandasiri Perera presided.
