Havelocks - Up Country Lions clash on August 11

Havelocks Sports Club, the leaders of the club rugby points table will meet the Up Country Lions in their return match of the second round of the Dialog rugby league ‘A’’ division league championship August 11 (Saturday) at Havelock Park.

The Park Club scored hard-fought 32 – 22 win in the first round game at Nawalapitiya last Saturday.

Defending champions Kandy Sports Club will take on giant killers Sri Lanka Navy in their return match on August 12 (Sunday) at Nittawela. Navy scored a smashing 25 – 14 win the first round game at Welisara last saturday.

The Plate championship will kick off on August 10 friday with the formidable Army playing host to bottom of the table CH and FC at Diyagama while on August 12 (Sunday) Police will be the guests of the Air Force at Ratmalana.

Havelocks Sports Club leads the points table after last week’s matches with 42 points closely followed by Sri Lanka Navy with 41 while defending champions Kandy SC are in third position with 39 points.
