'Make annual Hajj pilgrimage a success'

Deputy Environment Minister and Hajj Committee co- Chairman Abdul Cader yesterday requested all stakeholders to work in unity to make the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, a success.

He said that different comments made by some have caused confusion among the pilgrims who intend to travel to Mecca and approved Hajj travel agents.

He said it was time to shed petty differences and work in unity, especially during this holy month of Ramadan to provide devotees who travel to Mecca, whatever assistance they need.

The government has requested Saudi Arabian authorities to consider increasing the annual Hajj pilgrim quota this year. The

government is also arranging special additional flights to Mecca to assist devotees. (RS)
