Maths paper flaw:

Prompt action to sort out muddle

The Examinations Commissioner will take prompt action to solve the problem in the Combined Maths paper of the Advance Level Examination 2012. Complains have been received about one of the questions in the Combined Maths paper, Examination Commissioner Jagath Pushpa Kumara said.

“The Examinations Department will take suitable actions in this regard.

The Commissioner has called for a report from the professor in charge of the paper following in to the matter,” he said. “If it is proved that there was indeed an error, one and half marks will be given in respect of the question concerned .

“This measure will do justice to all candidates who sat for this paper,” he said.
