However every child is precious and priceless. Elders’ responsibility
is to value their unique abilities and make them good human beings who
are worth the humanity rather than physiological things.
ITN presents you with a different experience to approach children in
a better way to make them shine like pearls. Muthu Pihatu will be an
exact reflection of radiant childhood which we commonly known as birds’
feathers.
Muthu Pihatu is the story of our own children. The drama basically
focuses on children but there is a huge impact on adults too.
The drama is an excellent direction of a well known television
personality, Lilantha Kumarasiri. The script was written by Anoma
Wijayawardane.
Today children are trapped in a highly competitive education system,
in which they have become machines.
The sole purpose of parents is to make their child a doctor, an
engineer or a lawyer. Muthu Pihatu would be an ideal example to show how
to form a child’s life in a better way giving priority to his or her
inborn capabilities without pressurizing to unwanted things.
Since television has turned out to be the best and the most powerful
medium of people which perfectly touches human hearts. One reason is
television offers you different kinds of various teledramas.
But most of them focus on adults. Muthu Pihatu would change this
system and offer an entertaining, knowledgeable approach to children.
Dedunu Gedara is the base of the drama which is an experimental
school.
The whole story goes with the school and its children and their
parents.
It is consisted of simple and beautiful songs, poems, dances with a
very aesthetic move. Through this drama, ITN wishes to introduce some
kiddies’ songs to the television audience.
Dedunu Gedara is a very different school handled by a German teacher
named Christal.
She does experiments with children while educating them.
She selects children who do not like to study, write letters, go to
school every day and who are very mischievous.
School is located by a river and it is an outdoor school. Pankaja, a
very enthusiastic young teacher joins with Christal to carry on her work
in a better way. Tharindu, Kumali, Osandi, Nehan, Deelaka, Chandila are
the first few children who join Dedunu Gedara.
The whole story goes with these children and the way they behave at
school, and their families. Parents’ reaction towards children’s
behavior is highlighted In the drama.
This is a very interesting child drama, which will give you
entertainment, knowledge and instruction as well. Muthu Pihatu telecasts
on every Saturday and Sunday at 6.30 pm.
