Sri Palee in 1,000 secondary schools project

Education Minister Bandula Gunawardana said that under Mahinda Chinthana policy 1,000 new secondary schools will be established islandwide. He was addressing the Horana Sri Palee National School during a surprise visit recently.

He said that Horana Sri Palee will also come under the new plan adding it had been a historic educational institution where late Rabeendranath Tagore also visited three times. "When Sri Palee becomes a new secondary school, there will be changes in teaching and learning methods," the minister said.
