'We will make SL Asia's knowledge hub'

Upon the guidance of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Higher Education Ministry has taken several measures to make our motherland the knowledge hub of Asia, Higher Education Minister S B Dissanayake said addressing the inaugural session of the Training of Trainers programme for English project lecturers recently at the University Grant Commission.

A crash English course will be conducted for new university entrants prior to the pre-orientation programme.

In keeping with the new higher education policy reforms, the pre-orientation project team has systematically designed this English training programme ensuring quality and uniformity of delivery.
